Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema has taken to social media, to show his appreciation for a current member of Los Blancos’ ranks.

The player in question? Éder Militão.

Stopper Militão is for his part of course fresh off an outing to remember on Saturday.

After Real Madrid welcomed Espanyol to Spain’s capital for a La Liga clash, the Brazilian international featured from the off at the heart of the hosts’ defence.

And en route to an eventual 2-0 triumph, Militão opened the evening’s scoring in nothing short of spectacular fashion.

After picking the ball up well outside the Espanyol penalty area, the former Porto man stepped forward, before unleashing an unstoppable drive into the far top corner.

This came amid a stellar all-round showing on Militão’s part.

And as alluded to above, quick to reveal his appreciation for this excellence post-match was a club legend at the Santiago Bernabéu.
