Kenneth Taylor sent out of Lazio training after heated row with Gattuso | OneFootball

Kenneth Taylor was ordered out of Lazio training by head coach Gennaro Gattuso on Thursday morning after a heated exchange at Formello.

The flashpoint followed a 50-50 in a mini-match with Matteo Cancellieri. The winger walked away gingerly while Taylor went down complaining, prompting a back-and-forth with the manager. Il Corriere dello Sport had recently highlighted Taylor’s importance in Gattuso’s plans.

After a brief discussion, Gattuso told the former Ajax midfielder to leave the pitch. Taylor removed his shirt and walked off as team-mates resumed the session.

The incident was caught on camera, with Lazio’s official YouTube channel livestreaming the entire pre-season camp.

The report said the pair had stayed out after last week’s friendly against Lazio U20 to work on tactics and positioning while others headed for the dressing room.

There is an expectation the two will put the episode behind them soon.
