Franck Kessie has been offered to Juventus and Atalanta as he targets a Serie A return after three seasons at Al-Ahli. Juventus are viewed as frontrunners after Luciano Spalletti approved of the Ivorian’s World Cup performances with Ivory Coast.
Tuttosport reports that Kessie’s representatives have approached both clubs directly, and that Juventus have tracked him for several months.
His displays at the tournament, including a goal against Germany, have underlined his strong condition despite time in Saudi Arabia.
Available on a free transfer, he is seeking between €4 and €5 million per season, well below the approximately €14 million he earned at Al-Ahli.
Any Juventus move depends on departures, with Carnevali needing to trim the midfield before space can be created for Kessie.
Atalanta are monitoring the situation and Maurizio Sarri is a known admirer. Yunus Musah’s departure has left a gap in their midfield, but the financial demands are a bigger hurdle for the Bergamo club than for Juventus.
As a free agent with experience, physicality, leadership and runs from deep, Kessie is regarded as one of the most attractive midfielders available this summer.
