Abdukodir Khusanov played the full 90 minutes as Uzbekistan completed their World Cup qualification campaign with a 3-0 defeat of Qatar on Tuesday.
The 21-year-old defender was solid and reliable as Azizbek Turganbaev, Eldor Shomurodov and Igor Sergeev scored the goals in Tashkent.
Uzbekistan were dominant from start to finish, having 18 shots to their opponent's one and completing 446 passes.
Khusanov completed 70 passes of his own, with only team-mate Khusniddin Alikulov doing more.
The success made it six wins from 10 in their group and ended an historic campaign on a high just a few days after Uzbekistan sealed their first ever appearance at a World Cup finals.
Khusanov hasn’t missed a minute in the last eight qualifiers, with his nation only conceding five goals in that time.
In total, he’s now played 22 times for his country and will have the chance to star at the showpiece event across the United States, Canada and Mexico next summer.
Uzbekistan are in fact one of just 10 teams that have already sealed a place at next year's World Cup, with the AFC campaign significantly more advanced than many other continents.
He will now return to the City Football Academy to prepare for the upcoming FIFA Club World Cup.
