Vincent Kompany has held talks with Nathaniel Brown over a potential summer switch to Bayern, Bild reports. The head coach outlined his plans to the German full-back after the season ended.
Initially Kompany was content with Alphonso Davies at left-back, seeing no need for major reinforcement. Injuries to Davies prompted a rethink and the position became a priority.
That shift made Brown a top target, and despite enquiries from Arsenal and Real Madrid, he only wants to join Bayern. The left-sided full-back prefers to stay in Germany and views working under Kompany as a chance to develop.
Bayern would be willing to listen to suitable offers for Davies this summer.
The Canada international earns roughly €15-20 million gross per year and his contract runs through 2030.
Representatives of Saudi clubs have recently explored the conditions of a potential deal, but talks have yet to become concrete.
