Konrad Laimer ‘to seek’ €15m annual salary in Bayern Munich talks | OneFootball

Konrad Laimer’s contract talks with Bayern Munich are proving difficult, with the Austria international pushing for a significant pay rise.

According to Sport Bild’s Bayern Insider Podcast, the 28-year-old wants an annual salary of €15m, up from the €8m he currently earns.

His deal runs until the end of next season, and he believes he is worth more than the club are offering.

Capped 55 times by Austria, Laimer is a natural midfielder who was converted to right back under Thomas Tuchel, and he has also covered at left back for Vincent Kompany.

There is time for an agreement, but a breakthrough is not expected soon. Sporting boss Max Eberl and the club’s hierarchy have recently secured new terms for Serge Gnabry and Dayot Upamecano, with those salary rises adding to Bayern’s wage bill.
