Kylian Mbappe has moved quickly to dispel growing speculation about his recent injury, offering clarity and reassurance to both Real Madrid fans and the wider football community.
Reports had emerged suggesting a serious mix-up within Madrid’s medical team, claiming that the wrong knee was assessed during his examination.
The controversy suggested a potential misdiagnosis that could have worsened the issue, raising concerns about the club’s handling of one of its biggest stars.
However, Mbappe has now dismissed those claims, making it clear that there was no negligence involved.
Addressing the situation directly, he stated, “The claim that Real Madrid’s examination of my knee was incorrect is completely false.
“There was always clear communication with the medical staff,” he explained.
Providing further reassurance, the French forward also gave a positive update on his physical condition.
“I’m happy to be able to feel good in both my knees. In a way, I also owe that to my club. Very happy to be here, fit and healthy.”

Currently on international duty with the France national football team, Mbappe is preparing for a high-profile friendly against Brazil.
The match is set to feature several elite talents, including his Madrid teammate Vinicius Jr.
Looking ahead to the encounter, Mbappe shared his excitement about facing one of football’s most decorated nations.
“It’s always a pleasure to play against one of the world’s greatest teams. They have five stars on their jerseys; it’ll be fantastic to have so much talent on the field.
“It’ll be great for the fans too, and it’ll give us an idea of what we can offer at this summer’s World Cup.”
Lastly, Mbappe also touched on a more speculative aspect of his future – the idea of playing club football in South America.
Speaking light-heartedly, he concluded, “Playing in the Libertadores one day? Who knows.
“I’ll ask Vini Jr if he will let me go to a Flamengo game in the Copa Libertadores.”
