France face fresh injury concerns as Kylian Mbappe continue rehabilitation at the Clairefontaine training centre ahead of the upcoming international fixtures.
The player remain doubtful for France’s clash with Azerbaijan on 10 October as he will undergo further medical evaluation on Tuesday to decide if can feature. France're also scheduled to face Iceland on 13 October.
Mbappe suffered minor ankle injury during Real Madrid’s weekend match against Villarreal prompting the Spanish club to request he remain in Madrid for optimal recovery.
According to L’Equipe, 14 player took part in the first training session at Clairefontaine without Mbappe & Konate. Their participation will be reassessed on Tuesday to determine readiness for the upcoming matches.
If either player misses the Azerbaijan match, they may remain with the national team in hopes of recovering in time for the Iceland game.
France currently top Group B of the World cup qualifiers with 13 point from 6 match, level with Italy but ahead on goal difference.
