Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has on Wednesday secured for himself a fresh piece of history on the continent.
This comes after the Frenchman lit up the first-half of Los Blancos’ Champions League clash with Olympiacos.
Xabi Alonso’s troops are of course currently locked in action in Europe, after making the trip to Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens, Greece.
And after an early hiccup upon falling behind inside the opening 10 minutes, it has since proven the Kylian Mbappé show.
The former PSG standout first levelled things up with a trademark burst in behind, before nodding home a fine 2nd, and then breaking the offside trap again to round out his hat-trick.
And in the process, Mbappé continued to etch his name ever further into the history books.
The 26-year-old, it has since been revealed, is now the owner of the record for the 2nd fastest hat-trick in Champions League history (6m 42s).
The only player to have managed a trio of goals in less time? Liverpool icon Mohamed Salah (6m 12s).
