Kylian Mbappé opened the scoring with a well-placed low cross shot against Senegal on Tuesday night, then marked it by miming a flautist.
The France captain and Real Madrid forward had told James Corden days earlier, "The first match against Senegal, if I score, I will do it for you," speaking on FOX Sports' Carpool Karaoke.

He abandoned his usual arms-crossed pose for the unexpected celebration.
Explaining the inspiration, Mbappé said, "My parents wanted me to explore lots of things to open my mind."
He duly kept his word.
