Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé enjoyed a night to remember on the continent on Wednesday.

This came courtesy of a history-making haul of goals en route to Los Blancos securing a much-needed return to winning ways.

Xabi Alonso’s troops made the trip to Athens a short time ago, to lock horns with Olympiacos in a Champions League clash.

When all was said and done, Real Madrid emerged on the right side of a 4-3 result.

And the aforementioned Mbappé was responsible for netting all four of the visitors’ goals on the evening.

Bringing to an end his side’s three-game winless streak aside, the Frenchman also secured for himself some history in European competition at The Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.

First, upon notching his hat-trick, Mbappé overtook Blancos legend Karim Benzema in three-goal hauls in the Champions League:

Then, after rounding out his poker, the 26-year-old overtook Cristiano Ronaldo’s best-ever five-game start to a Champions League campaign.

The Portuguese managed eight goals in his first five appearances on the continent in both 2013/14 and 2017/18, tallies overtaken by Mbappé’s nine in five this season.
