La PPL Sports, a bill to reform professional sport, has fallen off the National Assembly agenda and could be pushed back until late June.
According to L'Équipe, it was slated for 18 May but is missing from the Assembly agenda up to 11 June after the conference of presidents set the timetable earlier this week.
No new date accompanied the postponement, with officials citing other priorities, including Defence legislation.
Some MPs have cited lobbying by several clubs, including PSG, who oppose the changes proposed in La PPL Sports.
As things stand, the bill risks not reaching the chamber before the second half of June at best, and some fear it may never be examined. To stop it slipping into obscurity, MPs from across the political spectrum, including the four rapporteurs, are weighing steps to secure its place on the agenda.
