Largie Ramazani is enjoying his best spell since joining Valencia. After a slow start following his summer move, he has forced his way into the starting line-up and is repaying Carlos Corberán’s faith with goals.
He has scored in each of the last three league matches and has four in the last six. According to Superdeporte, his strike from the edge of the box against Levante at the Ciutat de València was voted February’s goal of the month, and he received the trophy on Thursday at the Ciudad Deportiva de Paterna.
That effort topped the poll ahead of Elgezabal’s goal versus Athletic Club and Maupay’s on his debut against Sevilla.
The Belgian has become a key figure in the attacking midfield line, creating danger on either flank and through the middle. Corberán has taken note, handing him consistent minutes.
He is now Valencia’s primary penalty taker, a role backed by results. Ramazani has converted the team’s last three spot kicks, with those against Espanyol, a 3-2 win, and Osasuna, a 1-0 victory, securing three points.
