The Lionesses paraded an open-top bus around central London before getting on stage with Burna Boy in front of fans.

Lauren Hemp thanks ‘incredible’ support

Speaking at the parade, Hemp gave credit to the incredible support that turned out for the Lionesses.

“We hope we made so many more fans proud of us. We know the support’s been incredible,” said Hemp

“As a group we all realise the difference it made to England and to football when we won the Euros in 2022. We hope for the same to happen again… I’ve had so many messages that my phone just keeps pinging. Thank you to everyone, I’ll get back to you at some point.”

The 24-year-old was a huge part of England’s success in Switzerland and started every game under Sarina Wiegman.

Although she only scored one goal at Euro 2025, Hemp played every minute in the semi-final and final where her energy was pivotal to the team’s success.

The Manchester City youngster has quickly established herself as a crucial part of Sarina Wieman’s setup and is sure to feature for the team at the 2027 World Cup.

England are currently 6/1 to win the 2027 World Cup according to UK betting sites – behind only Spain who opened at 3/1.

“[The support at the final] was incredible. Every time we went forward, you could hear the crowd and it was such a good atmosphere,” Hemp continued.

“I couldn’t even hear my teammates next to me, so it was unbelievable.”

Euro 2025 breaks records for support

The Euro 2025 final in St. Jakob-Park sold out to 34,000 spectators and fans also packed out locations like the BoxPark Arena in London and Liverpool across the country in support from home.

In total, 574,875 fans attended Euro 2025 across the 31 games in Switzerland.

The attendance record set in England during Euro 2022 was one of many records smashed at the Euros this summer.
