Lautaro Díaz and Thaciano ruled out of Santos derby at Palmeiras | OneFootball

Santos will be without forwards Lautaro Diaz and Thaciano for Saturday’s derby at Palmeiras, kick-off 18:30 at Allianz Parque in round 14 of the Brasileirão.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Lautaro reported pain in his right thigh, will be assessed daily and is expected to continue treatment at CT Rei Pelé. Thaciano has muscle oedema in his left adductor.

Lautaro was a technical omission for the midweek Copa Sudamericana game. Thaciano came on in Argentina and had started the previous weekend in Bahia.

The pair add to the absences of midfielders Gabriel Menino, in physical transition after a posterior thigh muscle injury, and Gustavo Henrique, in physiotherapy for a left adductor injury. Neymar will also miss out, preserved from the synthetic pitch.

This year Lautaro has one goal in 16 appearances, including seven in the Paulistão. In the Brasileirão he has played seven times and scored against Flamengo, plus two games in the Sudamericana.

Thaciano has four goals and one assist in 22 matches. He recorded two goals and one assist in seven state games, has two goals in 11 Série A outings, plus three in the Sudamericana and one in the Copa do Brasil.
