Lazio ‘have enquired’ about Burnley striker Armando Broja

Lazio have made an enquiry for Armando Broja as they look to bolster their attack this summer, according to Markaj News. The Burnley forward is understood to be keen on leaving following the club’s relegation.

Gennaro Gattuso wants a new centre-forward at the top of his wishlist. The Biancocelesti have lacked a consistent goal threat after selling Taty Castellanos to West Ham in January, with Petar Ratkov still settling and Daniel Maldini not a natural number nine.

Burnley were promoted last season, then endured a miserable 2025/26, finishing 19th in the Premier League with 22 points. Broja struggled too, making 24 league appearances, only eight from the start, and registering one goal and one assist.

The striker cost Burnley €22 million last summer, and the report said the club could consider a sale if they can recoup €10-12 million, or sanction an initial loan.

A Chelsea academy graduate, Broja had loan spells between 2020 and 2025 and caught the eye at Southampton in 2021/22. He then slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge before a permanent move to Burnley.

Relations between Lazio and the Clarets are good, with Loum Tchaouna moving last summer and a pre-season friendly at Turf Moor in August, when Matteo Cancellieri scored the only goal. Even so, this mooted target may not win over supporters given his modest recent return.
