Lazio icon Ciro Immobile is reportedly keen to make his return to Italian football, and has already been proposed to a couple of Serie A clubs.

Immobile’s Unforgettable Lazio Stint

The Juventus youth product had several brief career experiences before finally finding his niche at the Stadio Olimpico. After eight years, he left Lazio last summer after cementing himself as the club’s all-time top goalscorer with 207 strikes from 340 appearances. The 35-year-old signed a two-year contract with Besiktas. He enjoyed a decent first season in Turkiye, netting 19 goals in 41 outings.

Ciro Immobile Offered to Serie A Duo

According to Sportitalia and Football Italia journalist Alfredo Pedulla, Immobile is hellbent on returning to his home country, as already been offered to Milan and Fiorentina by some intermediaries, while a Lazio comeback remains unlikely due to the stern relationship with club president Claudio Lotito.

The Lazio patron had allegedly boasted about offloading the locker-room troublemakers when inviting Maurizio Sarri to return to the club, in a clear reference to Immobile, Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson.

Therefore, a reunion with newly-appointed Milan sporting director, Igli Tare, might be a more plausible scenario, but Pedulla believes Immobile could be too costly to play second or third choice, especially without European football.

Fiorentina Choose Edin Dzeko

As for Fiorentina, they have apparently opted to sign Edin Dzeko, another ageing striker from Turkiye who is destined to return to Serie A. Moreover, the Viola intend to keep Moise Kean beyond the summer, so there won’t be room for Immobile in Florence.
