Lazio ‘offered’ Sebastiano Esposito after agent’s row with Cagliari president | OneFootball

According to The Laziali, Lazio have been offered the chance to sign Cagliari forward Sebastiano Esposito after a public dispute involving his agent and the club hierarchy.

The 24-year-old, a former Inter Milan prospect, is the middle of three brothers to emerge from the Nerazzurri academy. Salvatore plays for Sampdoria, while Francesco Pio broke through last season.

After several loans, Esposito joined Cagliari last summer and impressed in Sardinia. He then made the move permanent for €four million, with Inter retaining a 40% sell-on clause.

Tensions escalated when Cagliari said in a statement the player went AWOL. His agent maintained he had clearance from the head coach and sporting director, and accused president Tommaso Guilini of planning a sale.
