Lazio open talks with Fiorentina over Brescianini or Fabbian, and discuss Nuno Tavares | OneFootball

According to The Laziali, Lazio have opened discussions with Fiorentina regarding midfielders Marco Brescianini and Giovanni Fabbian, while Nuno Tavares was also part of the conversation.

The Biancocelesti want a midfielder who can play off the striker after missing out on Jonathan Asp Jensen, who joined Deportivo La Coruña. They are targeting one of the pair, preferably on an initial loan.

Brescianini, an AC Milan academy graduate, broke through at Frosinone in 2023/24, earning a switch to Atalanta in summer 2024. Short of minutes in Bergamo, he joined Fiorentina on loan in January 2026, then sealed a €10 million permanent move. The 26-year-old can operate box to box or in a more advanced role.

Fabbian, a creative attacking midfielder who came through Inter, impressed on loan at Reggina in 2022/23 before Bologna moved for him. He also arrived at Fiorentina on loan in January, saw limited action, and has since made the move permanent, though he may not stay long.

Fiorentina have monitored Tavares since the start of the summer. For now, the Portuguese left-back is expected to remain at Formello despite Alfonso Pedraza’s arrival, making Luca Pellegrini the likelier departure based on the current status.
