Lazio are pushing to beat Juventus, Inter and Napoli to Hellas Verona forward Giovane, working on a January move that could put them in front.
CalcioMercato reports that the Biancocelesti are exploring a swap that includes midfielder Reda Belahyane plus cash to tempt Verona into an early agreement. Belahyane joined Lazio from Verona in January 2025 and the clubs remain in regular contact.
The 22-year-old has stood out this season for his pace, mobility and end product, producing three goals and four assists in 20 Serie A appearances. Several top clubs have tracked him with a view to the summer, but Lazio are looking to accelerate talks this month.
Maurizio Sarri wants a more dynamic and versatile attacker to complement his forwards following the arrival of Ratkov, and Giovane fits the profile. Discussions are ongoing as the clubs try to structure a deal that matches Verona’s valuation.
Giovane is expected to command around €15-18m, and Lazio hope Belahyane’s inclusion could trim that figure and help them move decisively ahead.
