Lazio want at least one centre-back this summer, with Sergi Dominguez prominent in their plans and Fiorentina’s Pietro Comuzzo newly linked.
The Biancocelesti have reportedly agreed to sell Alessio Romagnoli to Al-Sadd, while Napoli and Atalanta are competing for Mario Gila. Any departures would prompt a defensive reshuffle. Left-footed Oliver Provstgaard is expected to step up, but a right-footed addition is still required.
Some reports have identified Brighton’s Diego Coppola as a cost-effective option, but Alfredo Pedullà maintains Dominguez remains the priority. The 21-year-old Spaniard came through Barcelona before joining Dinamo Zagreb last summer.
Dominguez quickly became a mainstay for Dinamo, contributing to a domestic double, and his fee is now above €10 million. Tottenham Hotspur are no longer in the race, though other Premier League clubs could yet move.
Pedullà adds that Lazio are unlikely to act on Dominguez before raising funds from a Gila sale, with the club restricted to a net-zero window.
Sky Sport Italia reports Lazio’s interest in Dominguez and says Comuzzo, 21, has been discussed as an alternative. The Viola would have to accept an initial loan, otherwise a deal is not seen as realistic.
