Le Bris unsure on Sunderland defender’s future with several clubs keen | OneFootball

Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris admits he is unsure of the future of defender Dennis Cirkin.

The full-back is out of contract with the club this summer and has made just nine appearances under Le Bris this season.

Several Championship clubs are believed to be keen on the 24-year-old, who played a key role in Sunderland’s promotion winning campaign last season.

“We’ll see,” Le Bris said when asked about his future. “It’s a bit early to give a specific opinion because you never know but it’s clear at the minute that we have three strong full-backs and the competition is high.

“It’s hard to be the fourth in that situation. He’s at the end of his contract so I don’t know because the future is the future and it’s important to stay focused on the league, every game can give new information.

“But at the minute competition is high.”
