Boca Juniors keeper Leandro Brey has been cleared of structural damage after a pelvic blow, but his involvement against Huracán on Saturday, in the round of 16 of the Torneo Apertura 2026, remains uncertain.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the 23-year-old was forced off after 20 minutes of the first half against Barcelona in Guayaquil, then underwent tests alongside the squad on their return to Buenos Aires.

The examinations confirmed joint stability and ruled out a fracture. However, he has a significant pelvic haematoma with fluid, which is causing persistent pain.

Natural recovery for such a haematoma is around 15 days, a timeline Boca do not have. Staff will now weigh up an infiltration to enable him to play, or turning to his understudy to avoid risk.

Javier García, who stepped in at Barcelona, is ready to start if Brey does not make it. Young Fernando Rodríguez, yet to debut in the first team, would be the back-up.
