Leandro Paredes to miss Boca clásico after fifth booking | OneFootball

Boca Juniors edged Talleres 1-0 in Córdoba, but Leandro Paredes collected a yellow card that took him to five bookings.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the Boca captain must serve a one-match ban and will miss the clásico against Independiente at La Bombonera on Saturday 11.

The World Cup winner in Qatar 2022 will be available to face River instead. Without the caution in Córdoba, he risked reaching five against Independiente and missing the Superclásico.

Claudio Úbeda now has to decide who fills the midfield role against Independiente. Ander Herrera and Tomás Belmonte are the leading candidates, as Santiago Ascacíbar would return to the starting XI after minutes against Talleres.
