Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu broke the news on Sunday that Besiktas were in agreement with Leandro Trossard on a three-plus-one-year contract, a net salary under €8m (£6.8m), and add-ons.
The news has since made it into the English media, with James McNicholas and Adam Leventhal writing for The Athletic that Trossard is close to agreeing personal terms on a three-year deal with the option of a fourth, and a salary around €7m (£6m) per year.
The Athletic’s report adds that talks continue, but final paperwork is now being prepared, and the move could be completed this week.

Fabrizio Romano reports that the only thing remaining is for Trossard to provide the final green light, at which point the deal will go ahead and Arsenal will seemingly move for Christos Tzolis of Club Brugge.
Romano claims Tzolis is very keen on the move, and in recent days he knocked back a rival offer for his signature to wait for Arsenal instead.
Arsenal are also pursuing a big-money wide option this summer, with Morgan Rogers reportedly the priority.

It’s been reported in the media for a while now that Besiktas have a €20m (£17.1m) agreement with Arsenal to sign Trossard, with €18m due upfront and another €2m in potential add-ons.
The deal was then put on hold while Trossard competed at the World Cup, but with Belgium’s elimination, things are starting to move ahead.
Turkish outlet Sabah report that Trossard is expected in Istanbul no later than Thursday of this week. With the way the Turkish clubs operate, Trossard’s arrival will immediately be broadcast to the public, so we’ll all know when he turns up.
