Arsenal have been handed a triple injury boost as Leandro Trossard, William Saliba and Riccardo Calafiori were all involved in training today.
The Gunners take on Bayer Leverkusen in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie tomorrow, and manager Mikel Arteta is sweating on the fitness of some of his players.
Trossard picked up a knock in the first-half of the FA Cup game against Mansfield Town on Saturday and was unable to continue after going down. He is training today and is fine by the look of things.
Calafiori also limped out of the FA Cup win over Mansfield, while Saliba was not included in the squad.
Martin Zubimendi, Gabriel Magalhaes and Declan Rice were also not involved at Mansfield but have returned to Arsenal training. However, Ben White and Martin Odegaard did not take part.
Arteta will be hoping for more good news in the coming weeks and will pray his key players stay fit heading into the most crucial part of the campaign.
The club are favourites heading into Wednesday’s game, but they have to be on top of their game to return home with a great result ahead of the second leg at the Emirates Stadium.
They have plenty of games to play in four competitions and they need all hands on deck.
