Daniel Farke confirmed that forward Noah Okafor has yet to return to team training and will miss Leeds’ FA Cup clash with Norwich.

Okafor has missed the last three games with a hamstring injury and providing an update on the striker, the Leeds boss said: “Noah Okafor is not in team training yet. He’s not available for this game.

“For all the others, they seem to be alright and if nothing happens in the next couple of days I should have, apart from Noah, a full squad available.”

Meanwhile, January loan signing Facundo Buonanotte has played just three times for the club since his temporary move from Brighton and has been left out of the squad in the last three league games.

Farke says he is working hard and could earn some minutes in Sunday’s FA Cup match.

“Hard work is always the answer,” Farke said.

“What he has to do after the Birmingham game is more or less get on with it.

“He’s a very self critical guy, a fantastic human being and I like his character. He’s not coming to the training ground down, he’s coming each and every day with a smile on his face.

“He’s enjoying his life together with us and his team-mates and still working hard.

“It’s not easy when you have not played that much, especially when you are young and face a bit of criticism.

“It’s not like you can just push a button. You have to win your momentum and your form back step by step, which is what he’s trying to do at the moment.

“He gets all the support, help, recommendations from our side about what to do, to improve slightly also in training.

“There’s still a chance for him to impress and to shine.”
