Leeds United are closing in on their second summer signing after striking an agreement to bring Tarik Muharemović to Elland Road.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds agreed a £34m fee in Italy on Tuesday evening and have settled terms with the 23-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup player, who is flying into Leeds Bradford Airport this morning for a medical and to finalise paperwork. Completion would represent the most expensive deal of 49ers Enterprises' ownership era.
The left-sided centre-back has been identified as the replacement for Pascal Struijk, who moved to Brighton earlier this summer.
Muharemović impressed at Sassuolo, showing aerial strength, a presence in both boxes and the mobility Leeds have targeted.
The Whites have already added Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham.
