With Premier League safety secured, Leeds United are setting plans for next season, with a focus on goalkeeping and fresh attacking options.
Daniel Farke will look to bolster his options in goal, with Karl Darlow and Illan Meslier out of contract, although the current No 1 could yet stay at Elland Road.
Fringe full-back Sam Byram is out of contract in the summer and appears resigned to leaving. “Yeah, I think get the job done here,” he said on the official Leeds United podcast.
“I’d like to play regularly if I can.”
TEAMtalk reports that Coventry City have made initial contact over Lois Openda, on loan at Juventus from RB Leipzig, with a €40.6m obligation said to be in place. Leeds are believed to be leading the race for a striker with 41 goals in 93 since a five-year move from Lens in 2023.
Leeds have been linked with Leicester teenager Jeremy Monga, however The Talent Hunter claims United are not currently interested and that Arsenal are favourites. The 16-year-old, also linked with Manchester City and Manchester United, has 37 first-team appearances for Leicester.
