Leeds United winger Noah Okafor will miss today’s 1.30pm friendly against Jordan because of a calf issue.
The federation announced that Murat Yakin wants to use all available players, but three are unavailable for the match in St Gallen’s kybunpark, including Okafor.
Starting goalkeeper Gregor Kobel will be rested after flu, so Yvon Mvogo will start. Third-choice Marvin Keller is planned to come on at half-time for a debut. Fabian Rieder injured his ankle on Wednesday, and Yakin is not concerned about the long-term availability of Rieder or Okafor.
Okafor earned a Switzerland recall in March after strong Leeds form, though he was an unused substitute in the 4-3 defeat to Germany and missed the matchday squad for the goalless draw in Norway.
He enjoyed a fine finish to the club season before a calf problem sidelined him for Leeds’ final three Premier League matches. He has been named in Yakin’s squad for this summer’s World Cup, and Switzerland play Austria next.
