Leeds United’s 2025/26 player ratings chart a solid return to the Premier League, built on smart recruitment and consistent performers.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the averages remain a popular, if subjective, yardstick and this season produced a three-way tie for top spot, edged on decimals by the player who collected all the end-of-season awards.

Summer 2025 signings bedded in quickly, which proved vital to results. A season-long six out of 10 is respectable, anything near seven is outstanding.

January loanee Facundo Buonanotte averaged four, his spell never really landing, with a couple of poor cameos and a dreadful outing against Birmingham. Leeds ultimately did not need him to stay up.

Refereeing drew a flat five overall. Darren England delivered nine out of 10 when Chelsea visited, while Jarred Gillett scored minus one at Spurs, and VAR is not lifting standards.

Sam Byram featured sparingly, with only one start in the Carabao Cup bringing his sole rating, a five. Joel Piroe struggled for minutes and goals, ending with a one-goal season he had never experienced before and a 5.7 average.

Injury-hampered Dan James managed 629 minutes, no goals and no assists, averaging 5.8. Jack Harrison was largely a substitute, sometimes in a more defensive role, and left for a loan at Fiorentina in January with a 5.9.
