Leeds United have won the race to sign Fulham winger Harry Wilson on a free transfer.

The West Yorkshire club have finalised an agreement with the 29-year-old international, who is set to sign a long-term contract at Elland Road when his current deal in the capital officially concludes on June 30.

This brings a satisfying conclusion to a long-term pursuit for manager Daniel Farke. Leeds came close to completing a multi-million-pound deal for the ‘magic’ Welshman on Deadline Day last summer, only for Fulham to pull out of negotiations at the last moment because a parallel move for Chelsea’s Tyrique George fell through.

Rather than letting the disappointment disrupt their pursuit, Leeds maintained contact with Wilson’s representatives and ultimately outmanoeuvred interest from other clubs to land their priority attacking target.

Wilson arrives in Yorkshire after an exceptional individual campaign at Craven Cottage, where he was voted Fulham’s Player of the Season for 2025/26, notching 11 goals and eight assists across 41 appearances.

He also earned a nomination for Premier League Goal of the Season after a spectacular trivela strike against Crystal Palace.

While Aston Villa tried to use the appeal of European football to lure Wilson to Villa Park, Leeds succeeded by offering a more prominent role, a significant salary increase, and the presence of a strong Welsh core in the Elland Road dressing room, including club captain Ethan Ampadu, Joe Rodon, and Daniel James.

With a medical scheduled to take place in the coming days, Wilson is on track to become the headline addition of the summer window for a Leeds side eager to improve on their 14th-place finish.
