In a recent report, journalist Pete O’Rourke revealed that Leeds United are set to rival Crystal Palace for Derby County forward Patrick Agyemang. It has been stated that the Whites are eager to get a deal done for the United States talent this summer.
Agyemang has managed to catch the eye as the focal point of Derby’s attack during this campaign so far. The 25-year-old has banged in ten goals and earned four assists in 36 matches for the English outfit this season across multiple competitions.
The United States talent is currently one of the best strikers in the EFL Championship. Thus, the Whites would do well to lure him to Elland Road this off-season.
His current contract at the English club will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it difficult for Leeds to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Agyemang is proficient at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
Standing at 1.93m, the United States sensation can use his powerful frame to hold possession up the field for his team. However, only time will tell whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Whites manage to get him on board at the end of this campaign.
We can expect Agyemang to add more quality and depth to Leeds United boss Daniel Farke’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at Elland Road in the coming seasons.
At 25, Agyemang has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a decent option for the West Yorkshire club to consider in this upcoming transfer window. However, Farke has to give him some time to adjust to life at Leeds before he can get the best out of the talented striker. With all things considered, the Whites would be wise to move in for him later this year.
