Leeds United have launched a former players association, Marching on Forever, to reconnect ex-players and strengthen bonds with supporters.

The club said in a statement that the association will connect generations, celebrate shared history, facilitate support and inspire the future through stories, events and active engagement. It added that the wellbeing of those who wore the white shirt is paramount and the scheme will help them reconnect with the club.

The formation has been led by former left-back Tony Dorigo, a key figure in the 1991/92 First Division title-winning side under Howard Wilkinson. He made 208 appearances and is a regular on Elland Road matchdays with LUTV’s commentary team.

Dorigo described the launch as a proud day for the club and pointed to the success of similar associations across the country over the past decade. He is keen to meet and work with as many former players as possible and is eager to get started.

Managing director Robbie Evans highlighted the contribution of former players across the club’s 106-year history and said the association will recognise their importance. He looks forward to seeing Marching on Forever thrive.

Former men’s first-team players who wish to join are urged to email MarchingOnForever@leedsunited.com.
