As reported by yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Largie Ramazani struck a stoppage-time winner for Valencia, while Jack Harrison’s Fiorentina debut ended in defeat among a busy afternoon for Leeds United loanees.
Ramazani again started among the substitutes for the La Liga meeting with Espanyol. With the game 2-2, boss Carlos Corberan brought him on in a triple substitution two minutes from time. His run into the box earned a stoppage-time penalty, which he converted, sending Marko Dmitrovic the wrong way for 3-2.
Harrison, who joined on loan last week for the rest of the season, was on the bench for Fiorentina against Cagliari and came on in the 59th minute with his side 2-0 down. Marco Brescianini pulled one back on 74 minutes, but it finished 2-1, leaving I Viola third bottom.
In the Championship, Joe Gelhardt made his first start since injury for Hull City, who stayed fourth after a 2-1 home win over Swansea City.
In League One, Harry Gray made his second start for Rotherham United in a 1-1 draw with visiting AFC Wimbledon. Charlie Crew was not involved for Doncaster Rovers, who drew 3-3 with visiting Wigan Athletic.
In La Liga on Sunday, Mateo Joseph’s Mallorca host Atletico Madrid in a one pm kick-off. In Germany, Isaac Schmidt started for Werder Bremen but was withdrawn at half-time in a 1-0 defeat at Bayer Leverkusen.
