Leeds United have sent highly rated striker Harry Gray to Sheffield Wednesday on a season-long loan for 2026/27.
The club said in a statement that the 17-year-old, capped by England Under-17s, heads to the League One side after 20 appearances and three goals with Rotherham last season, and that they will monitor his progress very closely.
Gray made his Leeds debut at 16 against Stoke City in 2024/25, the day promotion back to the top flight was secured.
He hit 11 goals in 14 games for Scott Gardner’s Under-21s early last season, including strikes in the EFL Trophy, then pushed for a senior loan and joined Rotherham in January, operating both centrally and out wide.
He has already linked up with Wednesday for pre-season as the Owls begin life under new ownership, with former Leeds captain Liam Cooper signed for the coming campaign.
Leeds hope the Hillsborough spell, with a promotion-chasing side, will bring the teenager more regular chances in front of goal. Wednesday are expected to be among the contenders.
