Leeds United are reportedly interested in a move for Bodo/Glimt marksman Kasper Hogh following previous links to Norwich City
Norwich City may now be seeing a player who was eyed up as a potential replacement for Josh Sargent playing in the Premier League next season, with the saga involving the freshly-departed USMNT international having dominated the January transfer window at Carrow Road.
Sargent made waves at Norwich when he refused to partake in the Canaries' FA Cup third-round victory over League Two Walsall at the start of January, which saw the prolific striker promptly demoted to training with the under-21 squad by Philippe Clement.
He was, of course, pushing for a move back across the Atlantic to join Toronto FC, which eventually materialised following a messy saga and a period of exile in Norfolk when the MLS outfit stumped up a fee that is expected to exceed the £20 million mark subject to various add-on criteria.
It marked a bitter end to a largely impressive Norwich career, in which Sargent found the back of the net on 56 occasions from 157 appearances across all competitions following his August 2021 arrival from Werder Bremen.
The Canaries did, however, act swiftly to replace Sargent by recruiting 21-year-old Mohamed Toure, who made a blistering start to life at Norwich after switching from Randers FC by scoring five goals from his opening five outings before sustaining a recent injury blow.
But the red-hot Australian international was not the first player lined up to fill Sargent's boots - and that individual could now be making his way to Daniel Farke's Leeds this summer instead.
The player in question is Kasper Hogh, who has freshly been linked with a potential switch to Leeds from UEFA Champions League dark-horses Bodo/Glimt in a recent TEAMtalk report.

As per that report, Leeds were among a number of unnamed Premier League clubs to have undertaken a scouting mission of Hogh - alongside in-form ex-AC Milan winger Jens Petter Hague - during Bodo/Glimt's 3-0 victory over Sporting CP in their round of 16 first-legged clash on Wednesday evening.
It's said that the relegation-threatened Whites are intent on bolstering their striking options ahead of this summer, which will ultimately be dictated by whether former Canaries boss Farke can keep his side in the Premier League.
However, Hogh has caught the eye of key figureheads at Elland Road and that's perhaps no surprise considering his form this season, with the 25-year-old Danish frontman having registered six goals and three assists to spearhead the Norweigan side's eye-catching Champions League run.
It's perhaps more surprising that, only in January, Hogh had attracted strong interest from Norwich.
Indeed, it's widely reported that the Championship outfit made a £7 million bid for the striker's services, although a move failed to materialise and Hogh instead remained in Norway to help his team's continental efforts.
Like many of his teammates, however, Hogh is sure to have a range of suitors in the build-up to the summer window as he continues to make his mark in club football's premiere competition.
The reality is that Hogh was never a viable acquisition for Norwich, who were battling against relegation at the time of their interest and hardly represented an attractive proposition to abandon Champions League football for.
Had the Canaries instead found themselves in promotion contention, the carrot-on-a-stick of potential Premier League football, which Leeds may well be able to offer going into the 2026/27 campaign, could've worked in their favour.

But it was an effort which was never really going to materialise, and few were surprised when Hogh opted against a move to Carrow Road.
With the striker continuing to go from strength to strength, and more and more vultures beginning to circle, any potential aspirations of trying again for Hogh in the coming months appear slim.
Norwich, however, may not mind that too much given the growing feeling that Clement and co have struck serious gold with the aforementioned signing of Toure, who is looking capable of easing any regret of missing out on Hogh's signature.
