Leeds United ratings v Crystal Palace as 9/10 Calvert-Lewin shines, summer signing given 6/10 | OneFootball

Leeds United swept past Crystal Palace 4-1 at Elland Road, their resurgence rolling on as Dominic Calvert-Lewin earned a 9/10 in commanding style.

According to Leedsunited.news, Daniel Farke made one change, bringing Brenden Aaronson in for Ao Tanaka. Calvert-Lewin shook off an early clash of heads with Marc Guehi to score twice before the break, both stemming from long throws by Ethan Ampadu, taking his tally to six in five matches.

After the interval Ampadu struck a rare goal, his first in the Premier League, to tighten Leeds’ grip as Palace offered little threat. A late penalty, conceded by goalkeeper Lucas Perri, provided the visitors’ reply, before Anton Stach scored from a late free-kick to complete the scoring.

The ratings reflected the dominance, with Calvert-Lewin at 9/10 and Ampadu, Stach and Aaronson all given 8/10 for influential displays.

Gabriel Gudmundsson, Pascal Struijk, Jaka Bijol and Joe Rodon each took 7/10, Gudmundsson timing a key tackle and Rodon marauding down the right. Struijk threatened repeatedly from corners, denied once by Dean Henderson, while Bijol’s deft flick teed up Calvert-Lewin’s second. Jayden Bogle earned 6/10 and later made way for James Justin.

Noah Okafor received 6/10 after lively dribbling against Chris Richards without the final touch. Perri was marked 6/10 too, steady under crosses and early efforts, including a stop from Eddie Nketiah, before the late spot-kick. The result opened a six-point cushion to the bottom three and lifted Leeds above Nottingham Forest, at least temporarily.
