Leeds United’s survival picture has shifted, a stirring point at Chelsea and upheaval at rivals prompting changes to relegation odds and a fresh predicted Premier League table.
Daniel Farke’s side trailed 2-0 at Chelsea on Tuesday night but fought back to draw 2-2. On the same evening Tottenham lost 2-1 at home to Newcastle, and third-bottom West Ham were pegged back by a late Manchester United equaliser for 1-1, keeping the gap to the drop at six points. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, bookmakers have adjusted their relegation prices and produced a new predicted table.
Within 24 hours, Tottenham dismissed boss Thomas Frank after that defeat, and Sean Dyche was also relieved of his duties at fourth-bottom Nottingham Forest following their failure to beat Wednesday night visitors Wolves.
Forest’s 0-0 draw at the City Ground left them three points behind Leeds. Farke’s men are 15th, one point and one place above Tottenham, and two points behind 14th-placed Brighton, who sit a point shy of 13th-placed Crystal Palace.
The updated predicted standings, using title odds for teams expected to finish in the top half, place Arsenal first at 4-11 and Manchester City second at 5-2. Aston Villa are third at 80-1, Manchester United fourth at 100-1. Chelsea are fifth and Liverpool sixth, both 500-1.
