Leeds United’s revival has steadied nerves and opened the door to January moves, with Manor Solomon at the centre. SportsBoom reports that Villarreal could cut short his loan, a development Leeds are considering should it happen.
Daniel Farke’s side halted a run of six defeats in seven by beating Chelsea 3-1, then came from 2-0 and 3-2 down to draw with Liverpool. Those four points lifted Leeds to 16th, two clear of West Ham.
Solomon remains popular after 10 goals and 12 assists in 39 Championship games, including the title-clincher at Plymouth Argyle. A Premier League return or Crystal Palace switch never materialised, as Tottenham loaned him to Villarreal.
In Spain he has one goal and four assists in 10 outings, with just 146 La Liga minutes. If Villarreal end the deal in January, Leeds could move, and Farke may welcome another winger given Daniel James’ injury and Noah Okafor’s inconsistency.
Josh Sargent, linked in the summer due to his time under Farke at Norwich City, began with six in five but has one goal and three assists in 16 since as Norwich have slipped into the relegation zone. Carrying a head issue, a move to Leeds or Burnley is unlikely, says Football League World.
In Scotland, Hibernian sit fifth, two points off third-placed Motherwell and 11 behind leaders Hearts. Josh Mulligan has a goal and three assists and leads Hibs for tackles per 90. Manager David Gray has urged him to stay and focus on playing every week.
