Leeds United’s run-in plan centres on a strongest starting XI designed to fix their goalscoring and keep them up. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, this is the side for the relegation fight.

Daniel Farke’s team have seven games left, with 33 points from 31 and a four-point cushion above the drop.

Goals have dried up, with four league matches without scoring. An incorrect dismissal and a failure to award a clear penalty have not helped, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin is less prolific than before.

The picture could change after the break, with two returnees in Noah Okafor and Gabriel Gudmundsson. With those returns, the proposed XI aims to lift the attack and ensure survival.

In goal, Karl Darlow keeps the gloves after replacing Lucas Perri, having steadied the ship and produced key saves. He is cleaner on the ball and appears to calm those in front of him.

At centre-back, Joe Rodon’s minutes and athleticism make him a mainstay, whether covering space or shuffling into a hybrid right-back slot. Jaka Bijol brings the physical battle, Leeds’ best box defender and a major set-piece threat. Pascal Struijk, the only left-footer, helps build play and defends on the front foot.

At right wing-back, Jayden Bogle gets the nod for greater attacking punch. James Justin has been excellent, but Bogle fits the need now and comfortably pushes higher when Rodon pulls wide.
