Leeds United are tracking Southampton winger Léo Scienza after a breakout first season in England. ESPN reports that Leeds have joined Tottenham, Aston Villa, Fulham and Everton in monitoring the Brazilian.
Signed from Heidenheim on deadline day in September 2025, Scienza agreed a four-year deal. Southampton did not disclose the fee, though German reports valued the move at £7.8m.
Scienza has six goals and eight assists in 35 appearances, form that pushed him into the spotlight. His display in Southampton’s quarter-final win over Arsenal stood out, even without a goal.
Previously, he delivered 17 goal contributions in 40 games for Heidenheim. Southampton list him as a midfielder, though he operates as a winger or attacking midfielder across both flanks.
Leeds’ wide options have lacked stability. Jack Harrison is on loan at Fiorentina, Dan James has had injuries, and Willy Gnonto is not a guaranteed starter after seeking a move in 2023.
Interest from Tottenham, Aston Villa, Fulham and Everton points to a contested Premier League market. With Southampton having beaten Leeds in the 2024 Championship play-off final, any move could require decisiveness.
