Leeds United’s Connor Douglas joins Buxton on loan, with Boxing Day debut possible

Leeds United’s 20-year-old attacker Connor Douglas has joined National League North club Buxton on a youth loan until the end of the season, and is eligible to make his debut on Boxing Day at Macclesfield.

A Leeds United spokesperson said the club wished Douglas well during his loan and would monitor his progress.

Douglas, who can also play in midfield and at full-back, has made 14 appearances for Scott Gardner’s Under-21s this season across Premier League 2, the EFL Trophy, the National League Cup and the Premier League International Cup.

He has contributed two goals and an assist in Premier League 2.

John McGrath’s Buxton are 16th in National League North, while opponents Macclesfield are managed by John Rooney, the younger brother of Wayne Rooney.
