Leeds v Manchester United at Croke Park confirmed, ticket sales and prices released | OneFootball

Leeds United's pre-season friendly against Manchester United in Dublin has been confirmed, with ticket details released. It will be staged at Croke Park, capacity 82,300, kicking off at 19:30 on Wednesday 12 August.

Organisers said pre-sale opens from 4pm today for both clubs' season-ticket holders and members, plus Croke Park Premium and Suite members. General sale starts at 10 a.m. on Friday 10 April via Ticketmaster. Tickets start at €50 for adults and €25 for under-16s, plus fees.

Leeds return to Dublin for a second successive summer after drawing 1-1 with AC Milan at the Aviva Stadium last August. Tens of thousands of their fans travelled from Ireland, the UK and Europe.

The FAI has sanctioned the fixture and, with sizeable followings for both clubs in Ireland, a capacity crowd is anticipated. The rivalry will be staged in Ireland for the first time.

Both clubs have strong Irish links, with Roy Keane, Denis Irwin, John O’Shea and Frank Stapleton among Manchester United greats, and Gary Kelly and Ian Harte notable former Leeds players. Johnny Giles represented both.

Croke Park will host its first football match since 2009. Leeds regard the game as valuable preparation for the season ahead.
