Left-back registered for the Paulistão, discusses new deal with Corinthians

This Wednesday (11), hours after announcing his contract renewal with Corinthians until the end of the season, left-back Fabrizio Angileri was registered by the club in the Paulista Championship. Thus, the number 26 is theoretically available to face São Bernardo FC next Sunday (15) at 8:30 PM (Brasília time) in ABC Paulista, for the eighth and final round of the first phase of the state championship.

The deadline for registering new athletes on the Paulista Championship list ends this Friday (13), according to the regulations of the Paulista Football Federation (FPF). So far, there are 26 athletes registered in List A – intended for professional team athletes, with 35 possible slots. For the knockout stage, four changes can be made, which can be done until the next 20th (Friday).

In List B, on the other hand, intended for players developed in the youth categories, there is no limit for registrations. At Corinthians, currently, there are eight names that are part of this list. To be part of it, you must be at least 16 years old and have been registered with the club for at least six months. The Alvinegro is also expected to register midfielder Allan and midfielder Zacaria Labyad, whose signings were finalized in recent days.

To Corinthians TV, left-back Fabrizio Angileri commented on his 'return' to the club. The Argentine had his contract with the Alvinegro finalized on December 31 and had been negotiating a contract extension since then: “I am very happy to be able to stay here for another year. I want to tell everyone. Thank you for your affection. Both here at the club and among the fans, expressing the opinion of wanting me to stay here. Very happy to be back here. I think it was a very positive year (2025). Now it's a year that must be followed in the same way, to achieve more goals, to be at the level of the Brasileirão and all the cups. I think it was a very good year. Since we won titles the previous year.”

The left-back, signed in 2025 – recommended by Ramón Díaz's coaching staff, was an important piece in the team's rotation, often playing as a third defender in Dorival Jr.'s scheme. Last season, he played 42 matches and provided two assists, winning the Paulistão and the Copa do Brasil in 2025.
