Legendary ex-Corinthians and Brazil full-back visits the club

On the morning of this Friday (9), former left-back, World Cup champion with the Brazilian National Team, and Real Madrid ambassador, Roberto Carlos, visited the Corinthians social headquarters, Parque São Jorge, and met with president Osmar Stabile. Afterwards, he also stopped by the club's trophy memorial.

Speaking to the official Corinthians website, the club he played for between 2010 and early 2011, he commented on his visit to Parque São Jorge: “I came to Brazil to take care of some things and took the opportunity to visit the club that I have a lot of affection and admiration for, where I played in 2010. And as always, the president and everyone here have always treated me really well, and today was no different. It is truly a source of pride to be able to see the entire history of Corinthians again. When I played here, I didn’t have the chance to see all this history, of former players and important titles. For me, coming back to where I called home during that time is a great joy,” he said.

In total, wearing the Corinthians jersey, Roberto Carlos played 64 matches, with 38 wins, 15 draws, and 11 losses – a 67.19% success rate. Additionally, he scored five goals and provided 12 assists. On the other hand, the world-class star, already in the final stages of his career, did not win any titles with the club.

Besides playing for Corinthians and the Brazilian National Team, Roberto Carlos also played for: União São João (1991/1992), Palmeiras (1993 to 1995), Real Madrid, Spain (1996 to 2007), Fenerbahçe, Turkey (2007 to 2009), FK Anzhi, Russia (2011 and 2012).
