Leicester City's summer transfer window has finally kicked off, with the Foxes announcing the arrivals of Conor Chaplin and Alex McCarthy to their ranks.
Russell Martin will likely be overseeing a big squad reshuffle at the King Power Stadium ahead of the new campaign, as Leicester prepare for just their second-ever season below the second tier.
The majority of those who underperformed at the club in the previous two seasons are being shipped off, with the Foxes using their pull to bring in fresh faces who many perceive to be above League One level.
The last time Chaplin was in the third tier, he won the Golden Boot for one of the most dominant third-tier sides of all time at Ipswich Town, and all signs could point to the 29-year-old replicating that goalscoring knack in the upcoming campaign.
Now, Leicester have started to get a head of steam in the window, and are targeting another former League One winner, and someone with plenty of promise to play further up the EFL.

Both Russell Martin's current and previous clubs, Leicester and Rangers, are interested in Sheffield United attacker Ryan Oné, according to a report from Ben Jacobs.
The versatile frontman only just turned 20 in late June, and played a supporting role in Lincoln City's dominant second half of last season en route to the League One title, after joining on loan in January.
He only started seven of the 16 third-tier games he played, but still managed to find the back of the net five times and added an assist in a 2-1 win over Leyton Orient, too. Per Fotmob, he ranked in the top 10% of League One strikers for goals, shots and shots on target per 90.
Before he was sent to Sincil Bank, he made six substitute appearances for Sheffield United in the Championship, four of which came in the opening four games under Ruben Selles.
That's not to say he isn't rated by Chris Wilder, though, who brought him into the fold during the 2024/25 campaign, where he made 13 Blades appearances in all competitions and scored once. Following his spell at Lincoln, the Sheffield United boss stated that Oné would "100 per cent" be competing for a first-team spot this season, and that he has a 'big future' ahead of him.
However, with both Leicester and Rangers interested, perhaps the 20-year-old could be seen as someone that the Blades could cash in on, as they navigate life under the new financial rulings in the EFL and their first transfer window without parachute payments.
Ben Jacobs doesn't state whether the interest is for another loan or a permanent deal, but Oné is highly regarded as one of Sheffield United's brighter young stars currently, so if it's the latter, a decent fee will be needed to prise him away from Bramall Lane.

Sheffield United haven't enjoyed the best transfer window thus far, with them selling an academy product to a rival Championship side when they sold Andre Brooks to Norwich City, and seeing rivals outbid them, such as Southampton with Lewis Dobbin.
The Oné news is definitely splitting opinion amongst Blades fans online. One fan commented under a Sheffield United fan account on X, stating it "would be absolutely ridiculous to sell him."
Meanwhile, that fan account stated that, while they feel Leicester's interest would simply be a loan, Rangers would likely be more of a permanent sale, and said, "For a good fee (£7 million plus) I'd sell," to which a Blades fan questioned why he'd be okay with "flogging talented youth."
That's the situation that Sheffield United find themselves in this summer, though. While losing someone like Oné now would be a difficult sale to swallow, if bringing in a good fee for a forward who has 18 Championship appearances under his belt would allow some more experienced talents to stick around this year, it could be a risk worth taking.
The Blades need to have a better season this time round. The longer they stay in the Championship without parachute payments, the more difficult it is to mount a promotion challenge.
Ideally, Oné would contribute to that better season at Bramall Lane, but if Chris Wilder deems him not ready, selling him with his stock high may reluctantly be the best decision currently.
