Leicester City full-back James Justin has joined Leeds United on a permanent deal.

The defender has completed his switch from the King Power Stadium to Elland Road, cementing his almost immediate return to the Premier League following the Foxes' relegation season last time out.

According to The Telegraph's Mike McGrath, Leicester could earn up to £10 million from this deal. They are in a sell-to-buy situation because of their poor standing when it comes to the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), so there's a chance that more of Marti Cifuentes' squad could leave before the window shuts on Monday, 1st September.

Leicester City told to be pleased with James Justin, Leeds United deal outcome

Justin was into the final year of his deal with the club. Considering that, one of Football League World's Leicester fan pundits, Louchlainn Martin, believes that the Foxes have done really well with this sale.

"So James Justin has joined Leeds United and, to be completely honest with you, I think this is an excellent deal on Leicester City's behalf.

"James Justin was once a really, really, really promising young full-back and made a debut for England and was one of the best full-backs in the Premier League back in, I think it was 2020 under Brendan Rodgers.

"But for some reason, since his injuries, he had an ACL injury a few years back, and since then, it's really not been the same. He's never hit the same heights.

"He's been a part of two relegated defences. He's got one year left on his deal. And I think £10 million is actually much more than what a lot of Leicester fans anticipated to receive for him, especially like I said with one year left.

"So this is definitely Leicester, who have got the better deal on this one. It's another £10 million that goes into the coffers. It goes towards them trying to fix their PSR situation. Hopefully some part of that can be reinvested and you know, Leicester City are having a proper clear up this summer.

"We're trying to get rid of these historical high wages and he's one of them. So yeah, we're happy as Leicester fans that we've managed to get this money from him."

Leicester do have to be careful with offloading players at this stage of the window

One of the other players that could leave the King Power Stadium in the coming days is another of the club's full-backs: Viktor Kristiansen. Fabrizio Romano has reported that talks between City and Nottingham Forest over a deal for the Dane are ongoing.

He hasn't featured at all so far this season for Cifuentes. Selling him with a matter of days left in the window, and after Justin's departure, wouldn't give the club's staff much time to find a replacement for either or both players, which they would desperately need as their depth at right and left-back is not fantastic.
