Leicester City have reportedly sacked manager Amandine Miquel just days before the start of the 2025/26 WSL season.

Miquel had joined the Foxes having previously managed in France with Reims and managed a 10th-placed finish following a record of five league wins, five draws, and 12 defeats.

However, with Leicester undergoing new senior management the 41-year-old's time at the club is up according to journalist Tom Garry of The Guardian.

Leicester had been linked with a move for manager Matt Beard, who earlier today resigned as manager of Burnley after having only taken charge of the club over 60 days ago.

Beard has now been placed on three month's gardening leave so the Foxes may have to wait if they still want to recruit the former Liverpool boss.
