Leicester City ‘to receive’ €15m as sporting director confirms El Khannouss transfer | OneFootball

Leicester City are in line for a €15m payment after VfB Stuttgart confirmed Bilal El Khannouss will join permanently this summer.

"Yes, that's right. I can confirm that. All the conditions have now been met. We're delighted to have secured Bilal's permanent contract with VfB," said sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth when asked whether the €15million purchase option had been satisfied, speaking to Sporting Bild.

The confirmation delivers a timely financial boost for Leicester as they work to comply with regulations ahead of next season.

El Khannouss, 21, joined City from Genk in 2024. He was part of the side relegated from the Premier League, then moved to Stuttgart on loan on transfer deadline day last summer.

Since arriving in Germany he has made 33 appearances, scored eight goals and supplied four assists. Stuttgart sit third in the Bundesliga and reached the last 16 of the Europa League.

He will not add to his 39 City appearances, having signed in 2024 for a reported £21m on a four-year contract.
